Iranian military delegation visits tomb of founder of Pakistan in Karachi

Karachi, IRNA -- High-ranking Iranian military delegation led by Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of General Staff of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Armed Forces on Friday visited the tomb of the founder of Pakistan, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, in port city of Karachi.

On the fourth day of his official visit to Pakistan, General Bagheri paid tribute to the late leader and founder of the country.

Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan Mohammad Ali Hosseini and Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Karachi Hassan Nourian were also present on the occasion.

The Chief of General Staff reached southern Pakistani city of Karachi last night.

Consul General Hassan Nourian and some Pakistani military officials received the Iranian delegation at Jinnah International Airport.

The Iranian delegation is scheduled to visit Navy installation and meet Vice Admiral Ovais Ahmed Bilgrami, Commander of Navy in Karachi.
